Watford Major Planning Applications

Watford Borough Council is one of just 13 local authorities to win up to £100,000 from the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities’ (DLUHC) PropTech Engagement Fund.

The funding is to take forward a project primarily focused on improving the way the council uses digital technology when consulting on planning applications.

We want to make it radically easier for citizens to find out about planning applications and increase public participation from a broader audience.

As a result, we are piloting this new visual online platform via Commonplace for members of the public to view major planning applications in Watford.

We’d love to hear from you with any feedback you have or if you’re interested in carrying out testing for us developmentcontrol@watford.gov.uk
